Additional info about all classes
All classes are 40 mins or 1 hour long and delivered using the Zoom platform. You will need to have the Zoom app on your PC or phone. Details for accessing the classes will be provided after you have booked.
Booking closes 30 mins before a class starts.
If you wish allow 15 minutes after the end time of classes for questions and socializing.
Minimum age to attend a class or workshop is 12 years.
Charges
Live Weekly Classes on Zoom are charged when you either come to a live class or request the 7 day viewable video of the class. The link isn't sent as standard for regular weekly classes as sometimes people just don't have the time to watch the video in the week and would prefer not to be charged.
Short Courses - The 7 day video link is sent as standard as this is part of the course which is paid for in advance. It is excepted that the student might not be able to make the live class time.

Darbuka practice - learn common rhythms and how to vary them and ornament them. Something different each time and no one has to hear you play! Sometime this class uses a sound bridge link up Pete and Kate Chaplin sometimes I play with them in person - which both gives you an idea of how things sound in an ensemble and aids practice and how you need to focus too!

Bellydance Choreography
Technique & Choreography Class
Zoom Class 7:15pm - 8:15 pm (7 day video available on request)
Summer 2nd half term starts 2nd June
For those with some bellydance experience.
Each term (aprox 10 weeks) we look at a different style or subject and work on a new Choreography.
For the Summer term we will work on 2 choreography's lasting 5 weeks each. (New subject after half term from 2nd June)
At the end of term there will an option to record the dance for a video for social media.
We will also look at shorter combo's that highlight different styles of bellydance.

This dance comes from Spain, and uses body percussion as well as foot taps, it is a very strong and proud form of dance.

This is for people with bellydance experience who want to learn how to incorporate somatic practices into their dance, feel more confident in their movements and learn how to express themselves more. Each week we will work with exploring a different theme so this makes it a great drop in class if you can’t commit or you can request the video and do the class at your own time and pace.
